These songs have been hanging around and growing in number year upon year. Lonely, quiet little folk songs that never found a home for one reason or another. These are good kids with something to say so I'm sending them out into the world.
This stock pile of unreleased materiel includes old gems, songs just finished, and maybe a little ragged, live performances, alternate versions, ones lost or forgotten through the years with a few beautiful little odd-balls collected for more than two decades huddled in basements, back rooms, bar bands, coffee houses, grange halls, clubs around the Pacific Northwest to concert halls in Europe.
The Cole Mine Collection will be an ongoing series of releases of intimate acoustic recordings hand crafted at a home or out in the wild. Brave and honest lyrics over six strings, some with ambient and modular textures, all direct and minimally processed. Abner wants to make these available to fans on an occasional basis and available ONLY through his website or Bandcamp.
